- about us
The workshop held on 1 March 2017 is organised with the aim to discuss the University of Bristol’s research within communications and experiences of creating experimental test beds to drive digital innovation in Bristol and beyond.
The event will showcase the world-leading research being conducted within communications and digital living by the University of Bristol’s Faculty of Engineering. It will provide an opportunity to learn about its work on optical networks, wireless technologies (including IoT and 5G experimentation) and the application of novel network technologies and data in the development of our cities. It will also include discussions with European partners on the broader challenges and opportunities of creating a city-wide test bed for digital innovation, insights into the EU policies and funding, which can support digital R&D in cities, and a light networking lunch.
